Cat fish and ducks.
Ha! We had a visit from an Anhinga (African Darter) yesterday and it ate all but four baby fish in our pond, so you can imagine I am not feeling well disposed to water birds at the moment.
*Sigh* We will just have to net the pond , I guess.

Wow! Sorry about that.

Nature is sometimes a cruel Mistress.
We shall be sorting out a net or stringing some fishing line in the next couple of days. Bit like closing the barn door after the horse has bolted but it is a lesson learned.

Definitely. I wish I had the space for a pond. I have two turtles. I love animals.

The pond was already here when we bought the place although the previous owners called it a swimming pool.
We begged to differ, and it has been home to varying numbers of koi and goldfish and water plants for the past 14 years.
