The Song Challenge is coming to an end. This is my fourth post, just one more to go. This challenge has made me realize that I need to do more music related posts. Thanks again to The Bag Lady for the nomination and allowing me to revisit some of these songs.
The Rules:
- Post a different song quote for 5 consecutive days.
- Post what the song quote means to you (optional).
- Post the song from which the quote is from.
- Nominate 2 different bloggers every day of the challenge.
My Fourth Song:
‘Wild World‘ by Cat Stevens
Album: Tea For The Tillerman
Year: 1970
Now that I’ve lost everything to you
You say you wanna start something new
And it’s breaking my heart you’re leaving
Baby, I’m grieving
But if you wanna leave, take good care
I hope you have a lot of nice things to wear
But then a lot of nice things turn bad out there
Have you ever been dumped? Have you ever had your partner walk out on your relationship? If you answered in the affirmative then you can relate to ‘Wild World’. I can definitely relate to this song. I remember playing this song when I was going through a bad breakup.
I can feel the hopelessness in Stevens’ voice. His girl is leaving and there is nothing he can do, but to wish her well, while trying to scare her from venturing out into the unknown (wild world).
I think everyone can relate….

I’ve always liked Cat Stevens songs. …I’m the same about not nominating people for the same reason. 🙂
