Mother and Child Drawing

The daily struggle of putting food on the table

Providing for two little kids, a young mother isn’t able

So she turns to the street

A lady of the night, to make ends meet

Her eyes are no longer windows to her soul

She cries constantly, her pride they stole

The unconditional love her babies feel

Is what keeps her alive and keeps things real

During the days she’s a mother and a queen

But as night falls she becomes a promiscuous being

Society looks down on her because of her way of life

She became a mother twice and she’s yet to be a wife

Motherhood and the streets she has to juggle

But she keeps on fighting because she knows it’s a young mother’s struggle.

You told her story beautifully, with compassion and understanding, without judgement. Moving.

Someday, a good soul will stumble upon her and see far beyond the lifeless glaze of her eyes.

This is just raw! We tend to look the other way many times, but there are so many struggling mothers in our world. Many don’t have the shroud of the dark to hide, they live their reality;regardless of nature or what it allows.

Not my plan to cry so early in the day Renegade 😦 It’s exactly what you’ve gone and done.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go.
I will counsel you with my eye upon you. MOTHERHOOD BEGINS WITH PAIN! For a single mother its a continuous all the way; therefore beinga mother it’s not for everyone!
