The 2014 World Cup is just twenty-two days away. In less than a month our favorite international teams will be taking the fields in Brazil.The World Cup is known to produce surprises and talking points. From goals to goal celebrations. Injuries to injury time winners. Penalties and penalty shoot-outs. All of this and more will be on show in Brazil. This much-loved football tournament has produced some controversial and shocking moments over the years. Most fans have at least one moment that they will never forget. What are some of your most shocking moments in World Cup history?

After doing a bit of research, I found articles and videos on some of shocking moments in World Cup history. The first video was compiled by BBC and it chronicles shocking moments in World Cup history up to the 2006 World Cup.  If you watched the 2010 World Cup then you know that there were some shocking moments at that tournament as well.
