This morning I woke up to the news that my beloved Liverpool FC were in the process of signing Mario Balotelli. I took this news with some amount of trepidation. After all, we are talking about the same Balotelli who almost burned his house down after setting off fireworks. The same Balotelli who had run-ins with teammates and even his coach while at Manchester City. Even further, the same Balotelli who is known to pick up red cards in important matches. That being said, I am a Balotelli fan, I think he is extremely talented. I also think he is batshit crazy. I can’t see Mario fitting in at Anfield and I think he is more trouble than he is worth. Nevertheless, if Mario does become a Liverpool player he will have my full support. Here is hoping that this turns out to be a dream signing and not a nightmare.
In arguably the most controversial transfer of the summer, Liverpool have agreed a £16million deal with AC Milan for Mario Balotelli.
Brendan Rodgers has snapped up the outspoken Italy striker, 24, in a bid to bolster his attack following the departure of Luis Suarez to Barcelona.
Balotelli moved back to Italy last year to join Milan from Manchester City for £19million.
During his time there he scored 30 goals in 54 games.
And now, in true “Why always me?” style, the former Inter hitman could be handed his Liverpool debut against Manchester City at the Etihad.
Here we look at five reasons which would suggest Mario Balotelli is the perfect signing for Liverpool.

Balotelli made a lot of friends during his first spell in England – but he also made a lot of enemies.

I think he’ll do well. Its his last chance at a bog club. Its all or nothing. He’ll be cherished at Liverpool and that’ll help him
