The draw has been made, the groups are set and now it’s a waiting game. The 2018 FIFA World Cup kicks off on Thursday, the 14th of June, in the Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow. Thirty-two teams will battle over one month to decide who will be crowned champion. Along the way there will be heartbreak, redemption, broken records, surprises, and ultimately triumph.
The draw for the 2018 FIFA World Cup was favorable for the traditional ‘big teams’. There is no ‘group of death’ and barring some extremely poor or extraordinary performances you would expect the big names to make it out of the group stages. That being said; keep an eye on Group A and Group G, there might be some surprises coming from those two groups.
