These Jamaican Banknotes are rare and have been out of circulation for a while. If you look closely at the notes, you can see the printed dates. The first one is a ‘Fifty Cents’ paper note that was manufactured in 1960. To put it in perspective, Jamaica gained Independence in 1962. That means that the ‘Fifty Cents’ note was in circulation before Jamaica was an independent nation. The other three notes are about twenty-five years old.
