This week’s Daily Post Photo Challenge is A Good Match. We are tasked with sharing photos of things that “work together” and “that represent your idea of a harmonious, pleasing combination.”

Red, Gold and Green Scarf and Hat. Fender Guitar.

Red, Gold, and Green are the colors of the Ethiopian flag and by extension, the colors of Rastafari. Ethiopia is the birthplace of Haile Selassie and also the birthplace of mankind. (Do your research if you are in doubt.) I think these colors are a good match and they give off a regal vibe. (Maybe it’s just me).

The Fender Guitar represents music, and there is no denying that Rastafari and music, especially Reggae music are a good match. Think about the great Rastafari musicians such as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, Burning Spear, Jacob Miller, Garnett Silk and Buju Banton.

Ackee and Saltfish, Roast Breadfruit and Fry Plantain.

Another good match is Ackee and Breadfruit. Ackee and Saltfish is the national (traditional) dish of Jamaica. This favorite of mine can be had for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The breadfruit can be substituted for dumplings, rice or even bread.

A Good Match
